As the Madhubani Nyay Kendra of the Nyay Network, BSS works to prevent and respond to bonded labour, child labour, human trafficking and other forms of exploitation, with a rights-based and survivor-centred approach.
- 10 awareness and training programmes on human trafficking and bonded labour in communities, schools and colleges.
- 20 community volunteers trained to report and refer cases, strengthening the referral system in Madhubani and nearby districts.
- Collaboration with panchayats in Madhubani, Darbhanga and Madhepura to keep migrant labour registers and promote safe migration.
- Training for PRI representatives and the Brick Kiln Association on anti-trafficking and bonded labour SOPs.
- Since 2024, trainings and sensitisation workshops for judges, police officers, SDOs, labour officials, PRIs, the Judicial and Police Academies, BSF, NCC and NSS, schools and colleges, advocates and DLSA paralegal volunteers.
